It’s that time of the year again! The MV Awards is starting on the 8th of January this month and my Makoto/Sae Niijima S-Tier video was nominated by ManyVids for the MV Girl Vid Of The Year (fun fact: my Ann Takamaki video was nominated last year and won! Thank you to all who supported!). For those that don’t know how the MV Awards works, it’s very simple. Once the contest ends on the 19th, the staff at MV will vote for a participant among the top 5 finalists of each category. Getting to the top 5 in any category requires votes like any other MV contest does.
For my fans who are interested in voting and helping out, the categories I’ll be participating in this year will be:
1) MV Star Of The Year
2) MV Girl Vid Of The Year
3) MV Cosplayer Of The Year
4) MV Queen Of The Year
I basically just need to get into the top 5 of each category in order to be chosen by the MV Staff during the final voting phase.
Current Events & Random Thoughts
A lot of things sidetracked me throughout the year of 2018 and I, along with my closest friends and loved ones, have grown so much due to these experiences and I’m really grateful for that. Right now I can say I’m in so far the best phase of my life and I’m hoping to continue on on this momentum and share my journey with all of you with more frequent YouTube videos. I plan on fully opening up more and being transparent about my current life and the past four years. I should probably add, while my friends and I are very happy right now, we’re deeply saddened by the recent news of a family member of a friend of ours being diagnosed with a serious illness. On top of that, that friend has decided to stay with their family member to take care of them for the next year. This friend is family to us and we have helped each other grow as people over the past year, so they will be missed immensely :(. I sort of wished I was able to spend more time with them before all of this but my work made it very hard over the past few months.
Other bad news include my mother’s house being broken into and having all her jewelry stolen, the ex-bf who raped and abused me when I was 15 has been going through great lengths to hurt me and my friends by spreading gossip, and my beloved juniper bonsai tree, Alexander, died a few days ago. We will miss him and I plan to “revive” him in spirit with a new bonsai tree in the future once I get a full grasp on how to properly take care of one. Speaking of that abusive ex, the damage from him was one of the big reasons my best friend went through hoops for several years just to help me become the person you now see. This is why it always hurt me when people try to frame my friend as some kind of villain in my life. All she’s done is go through all kinds of trouble just to pull a lot of people out of their nightmares and I plan on finally opening up about her a few months from now because I’m honestly sick of seeing her tossed around like that.
If you’re interested in some brief details, after 7 years of not speaking with him, my friend and I heard about his terrible living conditions and we decided to bring him in in hopes of helping him start over a new leaf. We thought it was a healthy thing to do to be able to practice forgiveness and understanding other peoples’ issues. We tried to help him quit his meth addiction and 6 of my friends were helping him get a job but that never worked out because he was lazy and just wanted to leech. Needless to say, after trying to help him for weeks I finally became aware that this person is actually psychotic and a compulsive liar which makes how he was in the past make a lot of sense. We kicked him out after a few weeks and now they’re on a psychopathic rampage. I will open up more about this in the far future because right now I really want to focus on inspiring and motivating topics for my YouTube.
Plans In The Near Future:
On a more positive note, to give you guys an idea of what the future holds, I should be returning to a more regular camming schedule in a few months and I have exciting things to surprise you all with starting in March. Right now my current focus is the MV Awards this month and putting out more YouTube content, and of course, content for ManyVids as usual. Not being able to cam regularly has definitely been hurting my growth and audience reach but you can be sure that once I do start camming again I’ll have new interactive streaming formats to introduce that will allow the audience to be more engaged. My YouTube videos will mainly be focused on inspiring topics that I feel can help others grow from and in turn, helps me put out some of my personal thoughts on certain things as well.
Lastly, I’m excited to say that I’ll be starting a Patreon starting in ~March. It will consist of my future cosplay photosets that I expect to be my best work as I plan on taking the overall quality of my cosplay to a more consistent level. For now, I’ll keep the details a secret :3.
Also if you haven’t checked it out yet I uploaded two very personal YouTube videos over the past month. One is me opening up about my past and the other is me going into more detail about my Asperger’s. Please check them out below!
Thank you all for your support <3!
Oh Lana. Last year was an interesting one. I am sorry about all the bad times you went trough last year, with some old friends, your ex, and your friend moving out to help his friend, but I am glad you also see the positives that come out of it. I am glad that I was able to see the and interactive with each event you had this year, even if I cannot see you 24/7 like your roommates. But I look forward to see what you will do this year. Let me know when you start your Patreon, Full Pledge instantly and good luck in the MV Awards. And when you do get back to camming, you can bet I have your back.
